Testimonials

The Walking Football (and, seasonally, Walking Cricket) Nigel has been running for the past 2 years, through the good auspices of Falkland Cricket Club, have been a great joy to our group of over 55s with a range of abilities and health conditions. In particular, those with Parkinson’s, for whom the sessions were first started, have found the weekly hour-long sessions of great therapeutic benefit both physically and mentally. The expansion of the group to include anyone over 55 has also been of benefit to others with underlying medical conditions such as Type 2 Diabetes, and for some just wanting to get active.

Nigel's excellent coaching of skills with encouragement and humour have brought back long-dormant abilities in those who used to play and, for some of us, developed skills we had previously failed even to cultivate. He frequently develops new routines so that the sessions are never boring. His enthusiasm has helped to improve physical activity and we have also found the social side of the occasion very enjoyable.

More recently, Nigel's response to the demands of social-distancing during the current pandemic have also been innovative and enabled us to meet in the open air as a group again once sporting activity could resume. Many thanks to you and Falkland Cricket Club for this excellent activity.

Bruce Blaine Chairman, Parkinson’s UK Newbury and District Branch

"It takes a very special person to work in this industry. It takes compassion, patience and a genuine care for making peoples’ lives better, no matter what their personal capabilities are. Nigel has all of those values in bucket loads and more and there are not many people like him around. He is motivational in so many respects. Not only for those people he is caring for and helping but for all the people around him that see what he does. I have had the privilege of riding with Nigel on many rides across the world as well as inter acting with him and his clients on other sporting events. He has inspired me on so many occasions reminding me that I could achieve new heights, and I wasn’t even one of his clients. Nigel is one of the worlds’ very special people who puts everyone else before himself."
Gary Sacks, Managing Director, City and Docklands Group, Norwood Trustee and Grief Encounter Trustee

"I am currently a Trustee and Vice President of Norwood and therefore, had the opportunity of seeing the work that Nigel undertook with the people we support for approximately twenty years. He has been an inspiration to many of them in all aspects of sports and leisure and I am quite certain that many individuals would not be where they are today without Nigel's time and guidance. His dedication has simply been amazing and I wish him every success in his new venture."
Ronnie Harris, Vice President, Norwood

"I have had the pleasure of cycling alongside Nigel and his tandem partners who live at the Ravenswood Village on International Charity Bike Rides which have taken us across the world for over 20 years. His professionalism, enthusiasm, good nature and dedication to improving the life achievements of the people that Ravenswood supports have been exemplary. It has been inspirational for me and my fellow sponsored cyclists to see him, year after year, train, support and compassionately care for the adults with learning disabilities who happily man the rear seat of the tandem. Nigel’s empathy, understanding and encouragement of his co-cyclists has inspired many others to follow his example and his cheerful disposition has won him many friends. "

"The cricket sessions provided by Nigel have been sensational. It is hard to find activities that all of our students can access and benefit from as a whole group. Through the cricket sessions Nigel has adapted activities to enable every student to be able to have a go and gain from the experience. We have seen students grow in confidence and their communication skills have really developed. Relationships have developed in front of our eyes as the sessions have gone on. Staff have also greatly benefitted from the sessions as they have learnt how to adapt activities for our students. Having all of our students out at the cricket ground in the sunshine, playing cricket and supporting each other will be a lasting memory from the end of last term. Thank you."
James Whybra, Assistant Head, The Castle School

" I have known Nigel Trumper professionally for eleven years. Throughout that time I have supported service users to events organised by Nigel. These events have always been well run and proved to be very enjoyable occasions. More recently, I have been supporting students at an athletics training session, which takes place on Friday afternoons. These are fun sessions for adults with a wide range of abilities. At every event organised by Nigel the emphasis is on fun. However, service users are encouraged to push themselves to achieve their best possible performance. Nigel shows great empathy and respect for all service users that he interacts with. He is dedicated to his role and clearly enjoys whatever he is doing. Most of all it is obvious that Nigel has the best interests of the students at heart. "

"Joining No Limits Sports & Leisure for athletics sessions has been an inspiration for clients from Diamond Quality Care. Our clients have acquired brain injuries and physical disabilities neither of which has hindered their ability to join in and progress due to the very clever and motivational teachings of Nigel Trumper. "
Ali Tait, Diamond Quality Care

"Nigel Trumper has worked with our son who has Down Syndrome for the past 5 years. He has changed our sons life through sport giving him confidence, self esteem and a purpose at a vulnerable time in his life. Nigel has trained him to participate in 3 overseas cycling trips to Costa Rica, Sri Lanka and Madagascar, 5 London to Brighton cycling events and enabled him to take part in the Special Needs Olympics. None of this would have been possible without Nigel and his passion for sport. Nigel brings many years of experience and has a professional "can do" attitude. He is truly inspirational and a fantastic role model. I would thoroughly recommend his services to anyone looking for a specialist sports coach. "

"The coaching sessions provided by Nigel are outstanding. He offers a wide range of activities throughout the year. My son especially enjoys the cricket sessions and could only throw a ball feebly when he started , now he bowls a mean overarm. All skills needed to play are taught carefully and thoughtfully, tailor made to cover individual needs. The cricket group continues to grow and has become a strong and supportive team. "
